Butterfly Security is a disaster-recovery and admin platform for Okta, available in the Okta Integration Network.
Butterfly Security is a disaster-recovery and admin platform for Okta. It backs up your tenant on a schedule, surfaces drift the moment configuration changes, and restores users, groups, applications, and policies in minutes — not hours. A free Chrome extension for Okta admins ships today; an iOS companion app for on-call incident response is in development.

Talking points
Recovery in minutes, not hours
Butterfly restores users, groups, applications, and policies from immutable snapshots. Target time to first restored object is minutes, measured from the moment the operator opens the snapshot.
Installed from the Okta Integration Network
Butterfly is listed in the Okta Integration Network. Customers install Butterfly the same way they install any vetted Okta integration — from the OIN catalog, with the OAuth scopes Okta has reviewed.
Capability-gated iOS companion (in development)
The Butterfly for Okta iPhone and iPad app — currently in development, not yet on the App Store — will expose only what the connected tenant actually grants. Suspend a user, clear sessions, toggle a network zone, all biometric-confirmed and audit-logged. Pre-launch waitlist at butterflysecurity.org/ios.
Compliance evidence across six frameworks
SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls — Butterfly generates point-in-time evidence and remediation guidance, not just a green checkmark.
